Q: What does my enrollment fee cover?
A: Your enrollment fee covers a variety of costs associated with your participation in our classes. For example, it helps cover the cost of instructor salaries, facility maintenance, and equipment purchases. Additionally, for our Kids classes, your enrollment fee also covers the cost of the Gi and Belt that is required to be worn to class. We believe that wearing the proper uniform is an important aspect of training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Wrestling, and we want to ensure that all of our students have access to the necessary equipment.
Q: Do you offer a discount siblings? Family groups?
A: We do offer a 10% Discount for additional siblings. Please reach out to staff for family rates and membership fees!
Q: Do you require a Gi to be worn during adult classes?
A: We train Gi and No Gi. Be sure to download the REMIND app to be kept up to date on which days we train in Gi and which days we go No Gi!
Q: How does BJJ differ from other martial arts training?
A:Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu differs from other martial arts in its emphasis on ground grappling techniques and leverage-based strategies, which allow a smaller or weaker individual to defend themselves against a larger or stronger opponent. Additionally, BJJ practitioners often place a strong emphasis on live sparring and competition, which allows for a more realistic assessment of one's skills and abilities.
Q: Is training BJJ safe for kids?
A:Yes, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can be safe for kids when taught by experienced and qualified instructors in a safe and controlled environment. At our academy, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students, and we take every precaution to ensure that our Kids BJJ program is safe and effective. Our instructors are highly experienced in working with children, and they focus on teaching proper technique and promoting healthy habits, while also creating a fun and engaging environment for our young students.
